Jesus is the healer

When you turn to Jesus you are not just turning to him for your sake but the sake of others, from friends, loved ones and family. When Jesus began his ministry he went all over Israel healing people. When Jesus was in the synagogue in Nazareth he outlined the points of his ministry in Luke 4:18-19, which reads like this.

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Here is an example in the Gospel of Mark where Jesus heals a person of leprosy. Mark 1:40-45,

40 "A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." 41 Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed."

The good news is Jesus is still healing people today. Here is a prayer that God has answered through prayer recently when it comes to a man called Mark, firstly here is the prayer written down in a prayer journal for Mark.

Mark who is a christian had stage 4 renal cancer and it was terminal. However, through prayer and fasting Mark was given the all clear and is on the road to recovery. Here is mark giving glory to God for the healing, view the YouTube video below.

This is a powerful testimony that has shown Jesus to move through prayer. Another scripture is from 1 Peter chapter 3 verse 12 where it says "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

If you are living the straight and narrow path as Jesus did then your prayers are going to be twice as affective for the Lords eyes are on the righteous. So, if you need that break through why not start praying to Jesus and see what happens, soon you will have testimonies of Jesus' goodness and faithfulness and you to will be giving glory to God as David did in Psalm 96.

Praise God - Psalm 96 verse 1-3

1 “Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvellous deeds among all peoples.”
